Composite Materials at the heart of Mobility innovations presented at Mondial.Tech

Held during the Paris Motor Show, MONDIAL.TECH is a new international B to B event dedicated to technological innovations for automobiles and tomorrow's mobility, developing links between the automotive industry's value chain and its existing and future technologies suppliers worldwide. During this event, JEC Group will highlight the latest composite materials and processes for automotive and mobility applications.

Today, composite materials and their processes are becoming even more relevant in the context of increasingly diverse and fast-evolving mobility. With the development of new energy sources, composite materials offer additional benefits, particularly for the battery integration in the electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as for the production of tanks for hydrogen-powered vehicles," says Eric PIERREJEAN, CEO of JEC Group.
With its "Composite Mobility" slogan, JEC Group will be showcasing innovations and applications presented by key players in the composites industry and their experts, some of whom have received one of the prestigious JEC Innovation Awards. As they become increasingly better integrated, from the initial vehicle development process through to production, composites provide designers and engineers with greater flexibility when developing new vehicles and components. As witnessed by Grahame BURROW, President of Magna Exteriors: "Thanks to composites, we are able to take a clean-sheet approach with design, materials and processing, collaborate with the customer and within our product groups, and deliver a solution with the potential to really move the needle in terms of aggressive light-weighting without sacrificing styling or performance."
Furthermore, Eric PIERREJEAN adds that "recent examples from leading automotive manufacturers show that bonding techniques and the combination of metal and composite materials have provided new opportunities, offering the right choice of material for the right application". Some iconic examples of these technologies will be presented on the JEC Composites pavilion at MONDIAL.TECH.
