| Acrylic monomers for paints
|

Acrylate monomers are used as co-monomers for the manufacture of both water and solvent borne acrylics and styrene-acrylics but also to polyvinyl acetate emulsions. These polymers are used for decorative paints and high quality industrial paints such as automotive. Perstorp offer:
N-butanol - is used to make n-butylacrylate, that gives flexibility good solubility and lower Tg to the polymer
2-Ethylhexanol - is used to make 2-ethylhexylacrylate, which gives very good flexibility, water resistance and exterior durability |
